Very easy in and out. Great staff knowledgeable about games.
They didn't explain the difference between a new game return and a used game return at the time of purchase. I had mentioned that if we didn't like the way the game played with two players that we would be returning the game within 24 hours. GameStop is in need of changing their return policy on new games. Once you open a new game it can't be returned for full price just trade-in value (which is about half or less than you paid for it) but you get a used game you have 7 days for a full refund.
Great place to visit for all of your gaming needs!
They don't understand what a periferal is and employees have basic industry knowledge. I go there to only buy steam cards.
I wanted to buy a GameCube controller for my Wii to play a game I just bought. I went there a few days ago and told them what I needed. They sold me the green Link controller that LOOKS like a GameCube controller. They told me I could use it on my Wii. Well I should have read the box better that it does not work as a GameCube controller, it just looks like one. I took it home and did some research on it after I had already opened it unfortunately. I found out that it doesn't work as GameCube controller. I called them a told them I wanted to return it and the guy told me that it DOES work as a GameCube controller, and also he said I couldn't return it because I already opened it and they don't resell stuff that's already been open... which is bogus. So I called Nintendo and they confirmed it can't be used for GameCube games and said that gamestop was just trying to get a sale. Today, within my seven days of having it and kept receipt and box and controller not used, I went to gamestop determined to get a refund or exchange for a controller that will work as a GameCube controller. Took it to the counter and the assistant manager guy and the girl looked irritated with me. He said he was not going to give me my money back and that I can get a small exchange. Then suddenly he looked at the sticker on the box and immediately said that he CAN refund me because it has a PREOWNED sticker on it. I'm like I thought it was new, and he said it was and that sometimes they mark things as preowned... So I really just wanted a controller so I glanced around and found the same controller I had with a sticker that wasn't preowned marked as new but was the same price as the preowned controller I had. So I thought, I got jipped they sold me a preowned controller the same price as a brand new controller. So I looked at different controller that is an off brand that works as a GameCube controller, but the controller had scuffs and marks on it and literally there was a hair on the joystick on the controller inside the box. So I showed the lady and she didn't look at it and just said it's just how the controller was made, I'm like no, there's a hair in it. I showed the assistant manager and he stood by his statement that it was never used or opened, so I'm like, how did the hair and the marks get on it, and he said the manufacturer must have done it. I'm like, what about the hair? And he insisted it was from the factory like that. It was being sold at full price too. And there was a second controller like that with scuffs that they insisted was new. It was all bogus and definitely felt I was being lied to by both people. I just wanted to get out of there because of such distaste in deceit of service at this gamestop. I'm just gonna buy stuff from online. And forget about selling stuff to them cause you get jipped, just sell on eBay or something. And I learned that APPARENTLY NEW merchandise is sometimes marked as preowned, so if you pick one that shows two prices, regular price and member price, then you can get your money back in full within seven days of owning it if you keep the receipt. If it doesn't have that sticker and you try to return your stuff, you're gonna lose money. I love gamestop, it's the only place that has the stuff it does conveniently, but I think everybody knows how bad the policies are and that you at one time or another will lose money and not make profit or equal amount back. I'm glad I got all of my money back, but this was a distasteful situation and really makes me not want to return.
